Paul Kampf

Paul has been developing and applying his craft for over 25 years as actor, director, writer, producer and teacher.

In May 2015, Paul became a Partner at Radar Pictures, built and run by Ted Field, one of the film industry’s icons. Ted has a 30 year plus career as a creative and business executive in movies, music, television and digital media. Radar and its management team have produced over 60 feature films that have generated over $7 Billion in revenue. Paul’s hybrid talents as writer/director/producer/actor are all valuable assets to Radar’s ever expanding slate of projects and he is proud to connect his training/production vision to Radar’s stellar brand.

His approach and diverse talents were first honed in the theater where he was a founding member and Artistic Director of Breadline Theatre Group in Chicago. Under Paul’s guidance, the company produced thirty world-premiere plays, and created one of the most unique arts centers in the city. Most importantly, Paul built his work ethic, aesthetic and belief in the power of a cohesive team of like-minded artists.

After directing the feature adaptation of his Joseph Jefferson nominated play American Gothic Paul put his talents and passion into creating an important and necessary production/training studio in the heart of Hollywood. The success of this program, has already garnered awards and international recognition. Paul holds an M.F.A. in Acting from Illinois State University; a B.F.A. in Acting/Directing from the University of MN-Duluth; and a certificate in Playwriting from the famed Royal Court Theatre in London.

Learning from his experiences in world-premiere theater, Paul has forged strong bridges to private equity partners to help empower the artist and protect the investor. He is also constantly exploring new financing/production methods that create a win-win for artists and investors. He doesn’t believe that an artist must wait to get the chance to express his or her talent. The Artist must find personal fortitude and entrepreneurship. Paul puts that philosophy into practice every day at the Studio.

His training methods and dedication to the professional actor has led to unique levels of success. His students continue to make their mark on film, television and stage. The program’s growth is a reflection of Paul’s exclusive approach. His dedication to known and unknown talent is reflected in the feature films, shorts and ongoing projects that he has written, directed and/or produced to give actors the chance to shine.

Paul continues to move forward on the many projects in the Studio’s slate while seeking new partners who share his vision for production in a new paradigm.
